The Members Assistance Program

The Plumbers’ Welfare Fund, Local 130, U.A. would like to remind participants about the services available through the Member assistance Program (MAP). As a participant in the Welfare Fund, you and your family members have access to counseling, support services, and resources including:

Marital and family counseling
Job-related stress management
In person counseling
Adolescent & parenting support
Budgeting & financial counseling
Child & elder care resources
Substance abuse assessment and referral

Annual Neighborhood Kids Christmas Party

We would like to thank the many Local 130 volunteers who worked hard to bring joy and the Christmas Spirit to hundreds of Chicago’s young inner city school children this year! Started in 1993, Local 130’s ‘Kids Party’ makes the Christmas Season light up through the simple act of giving.

2012 City of Chicago Plumbing License Exams

The City of Chicago License Exam Schedule is as follows:

Plumbers’ Local 130 U.A Collective Bargaining Agreement

We are in the second year of a 3 year collective bargaining agreement between the Plumbers’ Local 130 U.A. and the Plumbing Contractors Association of Chicagoland.

1st year 3.25% ($2.05)
2nd year 3.25 ($2.15)%
3rd year 3.25% ($2.20) Effective June 1, 2012

These numbers reflect a 3.25% package increase. The rates went into effective as of August 1st, 2010.

Wage and Fringe Benefit Package

The current Wage and Fringe Benefit Package effective June 1, 2011 through May 31, 2012 is now available.

Electronic Contribution Reporting – WebCore

All Local 130 Contractor Remittance Reporting, effective June 1, 2011, is required to be done through WebCore, our electronic reporting tool. If you do not have web core installed, please call to schedule an appointment for installation and training.

License Renewal Process Moves Online

The Chicago Department of Buildings’ License Bureau reported an important service improvement that should make license renewal efforts for plumbing contractors more convenient and efficient. Effective immediately, electrical contractors and supervising electricians, plumbing contractors, journeymen plumbers, apprentices and masonry contractors with “A” and “B” and “C” licenses will be able to take advantage of the Department’s new Online License Renewal System. Use of the new online license renewal system is mandatory.

If you have not already renewed your license, you must log into the online licensing renewal system and renew your license. Simply log onto the City of Chicago Online Permits page. You will then be prompted to create a new login number for your account if you do not already have an existing online permitting login.
