Please be advised that under the terms of the second year, of a three year Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Chicago Journeymen Plumbers’ Local Union 130, U. A. and Kankakee & Iroquois Counties Plumbing and Piping Contractors Association Inc., we are supplying the wage and fringe benefit package effective June 1, 2011 through May 31, 2012 for Zone 2.

1 No employer contributions required on apprentices while attending assigned school day, however working dues should still be deducted for 2nd six month through 3rd year apprentices.
2 Effective July 1, 2011 there will be a $.05 increase to the Illinois Pipe Trades making the working dues $.65 and $.54
Members are required to participate in either the Regular Savings and/or Plumbers Retirement Savings Fund 401(k) Plans. Employers must deduct a MINIMUM of $1.50 per hour for each hour worked for each Journeyman and $1.00 per hour MINIMUM for each hour worked for 4th and 5th year Apprentices. First, Second and Third year apprentices are exempt from this deduction. A Participant CAN DIRECT MORE than the base contribution rate of $1.50 per hour, in increments of fifty ($0.50) cents per hour, but NOT MORE THAN $10.00 PER HOUR to the 401(k) Plan, NOT TO EXCEED THE ANNUAL IRS LIMITS.
The employer shall deduct (after taxes) sixty cents ($0.60) per hour for each hour worked for each Journeyman, Foreman, Superintendent, General Superintendent and Metal Trades Journeyman and forty nine cents ($0.49) per hour for each hour worked for Apprentices, with the exception of 1st Year – 1st Six Months Apprentices and 1st Year 1st Three Month Metal Trades Journeymen for Working Dues.
Effective July 1, 2011 there will be a five cent ($0.05) increase to the Illinois Pipe Trades making the Working Dues Deduction sixty five cents ($0.65) per hour for each hour worked for each Journeyman, Foreman, Superintendent, General Superintendent and Metal Trades Journeyman and fifty four cents ($0.54) per hour worked for each hour for Apprentices. 1st Year – 1st Six Months Apprentices and 1st Year 1st Three Month Metal Trades Journeymen are exempt from the working dues deductions.
The contribution to the Welfare Fund has been increased by ninety three cents ($0.93) to $11.59.
The contribution to the Pension Fund has been increased by seventy two cents ($0.72) to $9.06.
The contribution to the Education Fund has been reduced by twenty five cents ($0.25). Originally this twenty five cents ($0.25) came from membership wages in five cent ($0.05) increments to the JAC Building Fund starting back in 2004. This twenty five cents ($0.25) will be reallocated to the wages. This twenty five cents ($0.25) reallocation was voted on and approved by our membership on May 10, 2011 to be a working dues payroll deduction.
The contribution to the Legal Fund for June 1, 2011 will remain the same.
These changes, in effect, result in a total increase effective June 1, 2011 of two dollars and fifteen cents ($2.15) per hour.
An increase of two dollars and twenty cents ($2.20) per hour, effective June 1, 2012 through May 31, 2013, has been negotiated under the terms of this Agreement for Journeymen Plumbers, Sub-Foremen, Foremen, (or Plumbing Inspectors), Superintendents (or District Foremen). General Superintendents (or District Superintendents) will be paid at least 6% above Superintendent’s wage rate per hour.
