Welcome to the Plumbers Retirement Savings Fund

Yes, it can be confusing, but this plan is called the “Plumbers Retirement Savings Fund, Local 130, U.A. (the 401(k) Plan)”. Technical Engineers can participate in this 401(k) Plan as members of Local 130 UA.

The 401(k) Plan offers you a tremendous opportunity to greatly enhance your retirement security and that of your family, but only if you take advantage of participating in the Plan. As a Participant, you are able to have deposited to an account in your name part of your pay, before taxes, and have that money invested as you direct without having to pay any taxes on the earnings or appreciation in value until you withdraw funds from your 401(k) account. The monies you invest are 100% vested and non-forfeitable.

It has been demonstrated that the longer a person has money invested in a tax deferred account, the greater is the total return on the funds invested. Therefore, carefully consider this opportunity if you are not now a Participant. If you are a Participant, take advantage of the various investment options.
